Chinese Learning After School Program Now Available
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new Mandarin Immersion After School Program tailored specifically for 3rd-5th grade students at North Star Academy!
Thursdays, 4/18 through 5/30
2pm-5:15pm / $375
Offered by Live Love Learn Chinese and Immersive Beijing Learning Foundation, this on campus program features experienced educators, engaging curriculum, cultural enrichment and hands-on educational experiences that prepare students for in-depth cross-cultural understanding in a globalized world.

Celebration of Cultures
We are seeking hosts and co-hosts for tables at this year’s Celebration of Cultures!
Thursday, May 8 from 5pm-8pm

Members of a variety of communities will host arts and crafts, share books, and other fun activities representing their cultures - but we’d love to have more of you join us!
Currently we have representation from the following:
Argentinian, Celtic, Central American, Chinese, Greek, Israeli, Japanese, Mexican, Nicaraguan and Scandinavian.
In past years community members have also hosted or expressed interest in representing:
Filipino, Hawaiian, Indian, Iranian, Korean, Persian and Vietnamese.

Yard Duty
Have an hour free at lunchtime, and want to give our teachers a break? We are seeking volunteers to assist with recess yard duty.
Daily from 12:05pm-1:15pm
Historically, we've had some parent volunteers assist, but that was on hold during COVID. We're happy to welcome parents back on campus now. If you're able to help, please sign up for some shifts!
Volunteers must complete necessary steps with the District. If you're unsure if you've already been cleared, email volunteers@rcsdk8.net.
